Location: Obarrio, Panamá
Looking for a balance between understatement and light natural tones we used a fairly light timber, basalt, marble and black steel accessories for a design that finally gave us the opportunity to realise a refurbishment of one of the numerous beautiful existing apartments in the centre of Panama City.
The central divider between the den/family-room and the walkway becomes a wooden centrepiece housing all the entertainment on the den-side and becoming gallery for pre-Columbian artefacts toward the hallway. In the living area the use of timber continues in an almost endless bench along the facade.
